Merry Grumpmas!

Ho ho ho! It’s December 1st, and no doubt, like me, you’ve woken up to find your entire house has been magically turned into the lid of a Whitman’s Sampler holiday chocolate box? If not, then you might be in the wrong house. You should apologise to the strange family sitting in the kitchen and quickly exit. This might be one of those Scrooge moments.

While recovering from the shock and waiting for your bus, you can pull out your phone and read the Big Crow and Little Pumpkin Holiday classic, The Grumpus. Styled after old Rankin and Bass specials from the ’60s and ’70s, this book holds a special place in my heart because it almost broke my brain. I’ll never know what possessed me to use a 3D program I barely understood to try and produce a 60-page book only a few weeks before Christmas. But I did it (released the day before Christmas. Marketing at its finest.), and I survived. Barely.

Would I do it again? Certainly. Will it be ready in time for Easter? Maybe. Who can say? Now, might I direct your attention to this lonesome, shadowy tombstone? What? Well, yeah, that’s your name. I know, I know, it’s a shock. However, you shouldn’t have kicked that puppy or stolen all that money from those orphans. I know you didn’t know, but that is how it works. The ones at the top are responsible for those below. Speaking of which, down you go…
