March Fourth Brave Soldiers

It’s March, a month very close to my heart, as it’s not just the start of the most outstanding season of all, Autumn, but it’s also the month of my birth. If only fate was kinder, I’d have been born on the 1st so I could proclaim myself the King of Fallen Leaves, but it was not to be. It’s o.k.; Duke of Slightly Heavier Jackets is fine. I’ve added The Poorly Drawn Cat to the Library to mix things up a bit, so please go check it out if you haven’t already. It’s a fun book, about which the only criticism so far is that it is too short. To which I say, “So what? Do you have a problem with small things? You don’t like micro-processors or keyhole surgery? Well, put down the boom box and listen up, Grandpa. Times have changed. The future is now, and it’s miniscule.”

So, as you get to the end of this twelve-page saga, remember that big things come in small packages, like those novelty snakes in peanut cans, or cheap queen size matresses from one of those internet matress companies that clog your media feed since your partner sent you that link that one time.

Enjoy! 🙂

  1. We love this book in our house. My little boy adores all the different drawings and my husband, being an early childhood educator, brought an extra copy to take into work so the children there could enjoy it too.
